The Illawarra Folk Club presents a radio show
every Saturday at VoxFM 106.9 from 2 pm to 4 pm

The Illawarra Folk Club presents a programme of music and information on Illawarra Community Radio VOX FM 106.9, every Saturday from 2 pm to 4 pm and streaming live on the web.

The material presented on this programme is an eclectic collection of songs, tunes and spoken-word recordings from traditional and contemporary sources. It also provides information on upcoming folk music events in the Illawarra and beyond.

Whilst the programme is primarily targeted at those who have an interest in the local Illawarra folk music scene, it is certain to provide an interesting and enjoyable radio experience to a broad range of other listeners.

The term ‘folk music’ covers a very broad spectrum, and the music broadcast on this programme is reflective of each presenter’s interpretation of that genre.

Currently, there are four presenters, Russell Hannah, Graeme Morrison, Phil Dye and Russell Churcher, but this may change as other interested members complete their training. Each of these presenters is a member of the Illawarra Folk Club, and they have all had a lengthy and varied involvement in the national folk music scene.

Should performers wish to promote their recordings or upcoming events, they can forward information and/or high-quality audio files (eg. wav or flac format) to rustybucket@live.com.au or send CDs to Illawarra Folk Club, PO Box 5289, Wollongong, NSW, 2500.
