The Illawarra Folk Club has supported the local community radio station VOX FM 106.9 for many years.

The Club presents a folk music programme every Saturday from 3pm to 5pm. There are four presenters:

First Saturdays - Denis McKay
Second Saturdays - Yvonne O'Grady
Third Saurdays - Bernard Williams
Fourth Saturdays - Russell Hannah
Fifth Saturdays and back-up presenter - any of the above

The presenters

Russell Hannah

Russell is the mainstay of the Illawarra Folk Club and has been involved with the station for many years. He always presents an eclectic collection of songwriters, poets and musicians when he's not enjoying his retirement! Contact Russell

Yvonne O'Grady

Yvonne plays the piano accordion and hosts the Monday night traditional music sessions in Kiama. She plays a blend of Celtic and other and a splash of local colour to round it out. Contact Yvonne

Denis McKay

Denis loves his traditional music and presents a varied programme of folk. He's a keen autoharp player, sings and enjoys the old songs. Contact Denis

Bernard Williams

Bernard is a singer guitarist and also has a wide appreciation of folk music in its various forms.
