John Broomhall

Singer songwriter John Broomhall originally hails from Broken Hill, but has lived in the Illawarra enough years to become a local. Many of his compositions are based on his intensely personal recollections of his childhood and his love of the desert landscape of Broken Hill. In contrast he has spent the last few years as the resident bard on the sailing ship, The Bounty, moored in Sydney Harbour.

John Dengate

John Dengate is Australia's master of parody - his satire bites, his songs are clever, his sense of the ridiculous is highly developed, he reduces pomposity to banality and he dances precariously around the libel laws. Above all, however, he is an entertainer. John also has prodigious memory and his repertoire of traditional material is second to none. John also writes songs about aspects of everyday life: the traumas of catching a "Train to Guildford", the experience of "Skin Cancer Blues" and Songs of the Sheet Metal Worker". In all of these, he brings his own witty style.

Just a TAD and Moz

Singers Tom Bridges Alison Jones Deanne Dale and Maurie Mulheron combine their richly varied experience as musicians to perform classic songs from the folk canon including many that invite chorus participation. They enjoy being part of a tradition of singing about what matters as well as getting high on the sheer joy of singing and harmonising. Taking any opportunity to use close vocal harmonies they will relish teaching harmony parts to a sing-along audience and/or to participants in their harmony-singing workshops.  Mostly the vocals are supported by Maurie’s banjo or 6- or 12-string guitar although they also sing a cappella.
